As a student, dancer and passionate enthusiast of Argentine tango, a recent visitor to Buenos Aires, and a Francophile, finding this gem on your blog was incredible.

I am not an animator so my imagination leads me to believe that this little film was a very intricate and difficult piece to create, but as a tango dancer, I can feel the love and passion of people who truly understand the heart of Tango, and that makes it a labor of love as well.

I’ve posted a link to your article and to the film on my blog and am looking forward to sharing this lovely film with the tango community, who will appreciate it fully, to be sure! Thank you for the interview, which added a lot to my viewing experience.

5 years, for the quality he’s getting - is PHENOMENAL! I’ve seen productions with tens or even hundreds of people, which didn’t yield results as nice as what Michael’s done. It’s inspiring and humbling.

5 years for a non commercial animation is not really that much, fitting animation around a full time job is incredibly difficult which makes amateur films all the more impressive.

I’ve made some “speed animations” such as Little Piggy in parallel to my main project “The Flea Circus” so that I can see some completed results on screen.

I think so. I believe it is open to anyone who can afford a ticket… it’s certainly a great time and very inspirational, and any animation fan would certainly enjoy it immensely…

would like to go to this event in 2008 as I spent a lot of time on holiday in Annecy. Is the Annecy festival open for non animation people?
